Sunday's cloudy conditions brought change to a dwindling adult sailing fleet with the addition of two keelboat and a trailer sailer.
Joining an exceptionally large fleet of lasers and a Nacra, the keelboats started their race 5 mins after the dinghy fleet.
Although the numbers were low, the addition to the racing created a great atmosphere and an awesome scene for spectators.
A major upset occurred with James Myburgh aboard S&S30 "Quasar" taking out 2/3 races while sailing single handed, leaving the fully crewed Duncanson 35 "Emigre" in its wake.... This definitely has to change next season...
The Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club Keelboat section hopes to continue to race with the Dinghy section in the 2018/19 season.
Thanks for joining us James Myburgh (Quasar), Kate & John Lethlean (Lady Katherine) and Chris Buctin, Jessica Prins & Morgan Flower (Emigre)
Please continue to join us for Wednesday Twilight sailing at DBYC at 4:30pm. RSVP to Keelboat Captain Nicolas Lewi: firstname.lastname@example.org.
